I don�t agree with this point. If I am doing something and taking care of my parents its my duty. it does not mean my wife also have to do tit-for-tat. It depends on the situation and circumstance. If she is the only daughter, her family situation is bad then we can think about it.
In this case, when her two other sisters and specially her brother also in the US, I don�t see the reason to support the in-laws. If you make more than enough it�s different. But when you are struggling to make your ends meet...I don�t support your point on this.
Maybe that brother's philosophy in OP's story is "Stop sending money to parents and in-laws, if its possible. Otherwise, maintain parity by sending money in small amounts to both parents. After I have submitted the 485 receipt, my loan guy went to a meeting. I will hear back from him in a couple of days.
485 does mean some thing to them. But they seem to avoid that so that they can charge more interest rate.
Right now, there is huge demand for loans. So they are bringing in many artificial road blocks to increase interest rates.
H4+ I-485 pending still is a valid status. Now what rules they have regarding approving the loan to someone who is not working (because of H4 status) is something I am unaware of and not immigration related, I guess.
But if you are going to send them a copy of your I-485 application, that should mean SOMETHING in their eyes.

Thank you karan007, pvhemanth, zappy, dvrao4, lp2007 and permfiling for the contributions. I am so happy that we were able to conclude this round with the help of only the junior members. Some of you have not posted much. Obviously, you found lot of things on this site that piqued your interest. I appreciate the fact that you did not hesitate to pull the trigger. There is something fishy. Its not possible that he could apply for 485 with the PD of September 2006 in June 2007 . Only people with priority date with June 2003 and earlier could apply. I know this because our PD is July 2003 and we applied only in July 2007. Please people stop this.
Since your PD is June 2003, you could have applied in June 2007 because in June Visa bulletin(released in May ) it moved till April 2004.

Feb 07 2008 I made an infopass appointment and saw an IO he accepts my request to expedite. Finally I get a LUD saying Documents mailed to applicant on Feb 20 2008. Then on feb 21 2008 I see a soft LUD Till today I have not received the AP. Do you thinking making an infopass appointment and requesting a copy will help. The problem is I should have been in Canada on the 9th. I don't know what else to do. This is ridiculous. Gurus please an suggestions:mad: This case was filed with the Nebraska Service center.

What we are expecting after this calc. camp ? I dont think so they will revise bulletin nor they will give single extra visa above 140k. I think we should focus on HR 5882 .. We should send something to lawmakers.

I think they will improve the communication between USCIS and DOL . Dont you think it unjustice for 2003-2005 PD holders when they move dates to 2006 and approve 2006 cases ? cant they just move it to 2005 and say approve as many cases as possible for them ? why approve 2006 cases .

Congressional office made a call to Nebraska Service Center regarding the case on the same day afternoon (05/14/2009 afternoon)
USCIS sent letter to my attorney on Friday (05/15/2009).

Looks like magic........Whoever has been working on my case from the past three months made a huge reversal decision in just a few hours on 05/14/2009 afternoon with atmost attention........I like this sudden surge in commitment and care on my case.......

I do not mean to discourage you, but the need of the hour is to call all the senators. There are 100 of them.
If you were going to do something in addition to the phone calls, Please set up an appointment w/the senator or staff and do a 20 minute Powerpoint presentation. That is more effective.

If you apply on premium processing then fees is huge, lot of money, if you apply before hand I mean 6 months back before the expiry of Visa, then not this much money as fees, last time I opted for premium processing.

Ah, so you are looking to purchase in Hyd. Here is the latest, if you already don't know.
There is a talk about HMDA which is an agency to overlook a project extending the Hyderabad to Bhongir in the East and to Medak in the west.
There will be strict implementation of plans for constructing new houses.
Realtors have already started marketing this and extracting high prices.
If you do have time to research, you can purchase land for cheap (around 3-4 thousand rupees per sql yard) in the outskirts.
Good luck.
