LCA for people who work from home

I work from home and one week a month i go to my consulting company office
I live in Texas and company is in NJ .
my question is should the lca be filed from nj where the company is
or should it be filed from Tx where I live and work from home

My online case status changed to the following information "On April 22, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283". I am applying for my family and I but my 3 year old sons update is RFE??? I havent received the letter yet but I was wondering if anyone else found themselves in this situation and if so what was the outcome?

I filed my I-485 and I-140 together in July 2007 using substitute labor (priority date) in Eb3 category.
I have Master degree, so can I change my category from EB3 to EB2 and keep the same priority date?

Hi,

My Spouse Application was rejected due to incorrect fee though the USCIS were accepting application with old fee till august 17th! It was filed on August3rd! and it was with old fee! Will it be accepted if we send a letter that the fee was right the first time!

Has anybody's both primary and spouse applications got the receipts with old FEES and had applied in AUGUST, Pls reply asap as my spouse application rejected and we had applied on august 3rd!

Guys,

I filed our AP & EAD on August 10th with proof of 485 filing/delivery confirmation.
We got our receipt notices for AP 131 but unfortunately they have rejected our EAD 765 for incorretc filing fee of $180.
They written a notice saying the correct filing fee after July 30th is $340.

But for July VB is'nt the filing fee $180?

I have got back my entire documents packet for 765.

What should I do now? Should I resend the packet with a letter saying that I come under July VB? or should I send a new check for $340? Anybody gone thru similar experiences? Pls help.

Hi,
I filed the i-140 last October, and didn't hear anything until May 2007 when i received an intent to deny. After speaking to the attorney he put the wrong name on the application! He fixed that then forgot to send the check!
So we refiled a new I-140 again PP, and referenced the labor certificate in the old case that we appealed.
They looked at the new case, and put in a request to get the original labor cert from the old case, which took about two months.
I received approval yesterday.

Hi,

I am not sure if I am posting this question to the wrong thread, so sorry if that's so....

I was told by the lawyer that I needed I-140 approved in order to ask for 3 years instead of 1 year for my H1B extension. They filed the extension asking for 1 year, and a week later we have the I-140 approved. My current H1B expiration date is in June 2009.

Now,
1) is there a way to ask H1B extension for 3 years at this point?
2) If so, does that mean a new application, or an amendment/correction to the old one?
3) Is it worth the hassle to ask for 3 Year extension if it's possible?

Can the IV core group can come up with the webfax to explain our reasonable concerns (to educate the Title V of Senate bill) to all members of congress (House and Senate Members)? This will help us during the conference committee (atleast lawmakers will know our legimate concerns). Also everyone will send fax and will contact lawmakers. Please let us know.

As the title says, can I change from AOS to CP even though my PD is not current.

Will the consulate process my case even if the PD is not current ?

I guess, they should depending on the number of applications at the consulate.

Please let me know whether I should take this route.

Well my PD is Feb 2007 (EB2) so I was thinking of this route rather than wait for endless years in this mess :(

Your passport has nothing to do with you invoking AC21. AC21 is just a way of informing Uscis that you are switching to another job with similar duties, that's all. There's no official form or application to submit.

Just apply for the renewal of your passport as you would usually do. That's all.
