There are so many unknowns.. that I don't think we can really estimate the EAD process timeline.
For instance, lets consider we all get our initial EADs (in whatever time estimation one can make with the little information one have), I believe, it will be really interesting to see how much time USCIS takes to renew EAD's. Currently it has to be renewed yearly.
They would definitely have to either increase work force or increase grant EAD renewal's of 3 years in order to cope up with the number of applications.
I hope they would have decided all of this before accepting all AOS applications otherwise they would have to do alot of leg work.
We will see in future what they have in store for us.

Visa Allotment or Assigning of Visas by USCIS - I cannot digest the assumption that USCIS/DOS/DOL are fools and there is no coordination among them to know who from which country has applied for GC under which category. These Govt. agencies are so efficient that they can even go through these forums and connect IDs here to applications. It is a piece of cake for them to find out the entire background of an applicant as soon as even the LC is filed. They very well know who is stuck with which employer in which state and what stage and to whom they are approving the GCs. If the employers are Americans, they can even call the DOL and ask them to hold the LC approval because they know that once their employees get their GCs they will quit them.
I am not trying to be negative and pessimistic, but please think about the chances of immigrants sueing these Govt. agencies during any of the stages in GC process and winning the lawsuit. And ofcourse, the immigration lawyers are too happy with the retrogressions and the way the immigration system works in this country.

HI GUYS,
me and my spouse filed 1485 in july 2007 with a received date of 10/07/07.
we donot see anychanges online other than the case received and pending notice.
is there a way we can find the status of our case.if name check is cleared,any further finger printing as we only did once in 2007.ours is eb3.any input highly appreciated.

The greatness of USCIS is unbelievable!!!!!
When the dates move ahead, to say 2006, the 485s that get approved the most are for people whose PDs are in 2006. The 2004-2005 folks just have to keep starring!!! Then all of a sudden dates fall back to 2003...now only god knows who is yet to be approved in EB2-India before April 2003.
So what it seems like is when the dates move ahead drastically all the people who most recently applied will get approved and for the people who are stuck in backlog will see approvals only if the dates stick around their dates for atleast over a year....until then USCIS doesn't even realize that oh these people are still in queue and we need to approve them!!!
Such a BS to deal with all because of USCIS' GRACE!!!!

If you need solutions to your problems, you need to act professionallly as all other IV members do. Please stop throwing tantrums and also mind your P's and Q's when you utter expletives against USCIS. Will you be brave enough (if not foolhardy enough) to reproduce whatever you said here in a letter and send it out to the USCIS? Trust me, you'll not since you'd act politely and professionally to make out your case. We expect you to act with decorum when you discuss pertinent issues in IV forum.

Has Any Senetor Brought An Amendment To Reinstate Ac21 Provison To Eliminate Country Quota(10%), If Demand Of Visas Is Less Than Supply? It would have been amazing if senator added 10K for each recaptured EB VISA. That would have given 1B dollars for the border security(If only senator wanted to help the so called product developing H1Bs).
You need to live in reality...it can be 10K for GC application to pay for more patrols on the mexican border but no recapture....

as per last page of this document(bulet point 16) they deffered the decision on exempting nurses from EB quoutas.. but i think we heard them saying its approved...
